Windows 7 Notice UPDATE!!!!
Windows 7 32 bit supports both serial and usb Hot Syncing but Windows 7 64 bit does not. There is now 64bit driver included in the current installation file starting with build 12.01.44. Although it has not been tested very extensively by ACCESS we have tested it here on Windows 7 Home Premium and so far seems to work fine. Check back for further information as we continue to test.

ACEECA HAS RELEASED THE NEW IDV1500 SCANNER. We are currently testing our current prerelease PLUProV12 on the device so hopefully all will go well. Check out the specs here: ACEECA.COM. This device is currently being released with Bluetooth capabilities so we are testing that now in our current prerelease. Also Aceeca is testing the new device with wireless capabilities and possible an RFID interface as well. This of course will hopefully open new doors for all PLUPro Dealers. If you are interested in assisting in the testing of prerelease handhelds please let us know.
NOTE: PLUProV12 INSTALLS INTO A new folder, C:\PLUPro. The short cut and files used on the handheld are different so installation of V12 will not interfere with V11. In order to speed up download times, the installation file here on the website does not contain the PalmDesktopWin62 file or the Access runtime. You should already have these installed and they will need no reinstallation. If you need a disk and would like us to send you one, please send your request by e-mail to support@crss-plupro.com and we will send one to you at no charge.
WHAT IS PLUPRO?
PLUPro is an database interface program written for the Palm OS and the RDA MEZ1000 (and also the IDV1500) manufactured by Aceeca products. This interface allows the user to scan bar-coded items off the shelf (where the item is located) and enter the information (description, price, taxable, dept link, etc.) required by the cash register. The user can also maintain the PLU file stored in the handheld device making price changes or whatever. Once all the information is entered or modified on the device it is then connected to the PC where the PC Poll software is located, the information is transferred to the PC from the handheld device and then imported into PC Poll V6 or V7 Polling or software. Once the data is verified by PC Poll polling software it can then be sent to the cash register. With some modifications an existing PLU file can be transferred to the handheld device and modified accordingly. Use it to check prices, change prices, delete items, and more.
PLUPro can also create a file for PC Poll Inventory so that physical inventory can be performed on the handheld. The user will scan the item, enter the quantity on hand, and enter a cost per item if that value is known. That file is then sent to the PC and imported into PC Poll Inventory and the on hand inventory counts will be replaced by the counts in the file created on the handheld.
PLUPro can also create a file for PC Poll Inventory Receiving Module. Items are received in the receiving area of the store, scanned onto the handheld device, a quantity received is entered and a cost for the whole amount is entered. This data is then transferred to the PC and imported into Inventory receiving and the on hand inventory counts will be increased by the counts on the file created by the handheld.
NEW CHANGES MADE
Changes in this release include easier installation, shortcuts on the Start Menu and desktop and we are now using all the fields that are exported by PC Poll V7. The larger memory size on the MEZ1000 allows for a much larger PLU file (TEC MA-1595 30,000 PLU file size is approx. 5meg) and the ability to use all fields.
*We are no longer using a separate index file. This caused a lot of problems in synchronizing the two files needed on the PERCON so we eliminated the process of using the index file for quicker searches. Yes the search for items is slow but much more stable. If we decide to go back to that method then we will incorporate the creation of the index file into one or both of the PLUProV11 applications.
*The new PLUProV12 now has its own desktop utility.
*The handheld application and the desktop utility both contain all the registers and can be changed by the end user.
*Licensing is per handheld only. Not per machine/handheld.
*Due to the larger memory capacity on the handheld PLUProV12 now supports more than one model of register at a time. Number of different PLU files supported of course depends on their sizes. We believe that a combine total of 200,000 PLU's can be supported. This has not been verified as of yet!
*Due to lack of interest and PC Poll's capability of importing PLU's from Polling into Inventory we removed the Inventory export functionality of PLUPro. This feature was mostly used by V6 Polling customers. If you require this feature please contact us and we will make this available as a customized feature.
PLUProV12 now has the ability to customize the scanner right from the PLUProV12 application. Making changes is very quick and easy for customizing for each customer.

» The PLUPro Users Manual is not even close to completion!! We apologize for its long in coming. Very little information is really needed however, the program on the handheld and the desktop utility are both pretty straight forward and easy to understand. Will be available in PDF format only.
